The automation of traditional factories usually uses serial port or RS485 to connect the machines, but when faced with the industrial IoT industrial upgrade era, all data has the need to be uploaded to cloud through the internet; therefore, the data transferred through serial ports or RS485 must be converted and uploaded to the internet, and this is when a multi-protocol converter is needed to convert the data and then upload it.

Solution Features
The main feature of Nuvoton NUC980 series microcontroller is the built-in high capacity DRAM 128 MB SDRAM because built-in DRAM can save on overall cost, reduce PCB size significantly and lower electromagnetic interference (EMI). They also have many peripheral functions including 10 sets of UART serial ports, 4 sets of CAN 2.0 B, 8 sets of USB Host and dual-Ethernet, able to provide the requirements for multi-protocol converter solution applications.
