AliOS Things Cloud Service

AliOS Things is an Instant-On embedded operating system specifically for IoT applications. Its main functions include outstanding performance, easy development, rich peripherals, and security mechanisms. It supports the connection from terminal devices to Alibaba Cloud through Ethernet, Wi-Fi or other network connections, and it can be applied in fields such as smart home and smart city.
Nuvoton NuMicro series M487 microcontroller based on the Cortex-M4 core and the NANO130 microcontroller based on the Cortex-M0 core have passed the certification of AliOS Things, and are used to construct the NuMaker series IoT development platform. The NuMaker-IoT-M487 development platform is equipped with Ethernet and Wi-Fi connection capabilities on AliOS Things and supports connection to Alibaba Cloud services. It uses Keil MDK as the development tool and with the Nu-Link built-in the platform; it can perform firmware download and real-time debugging.
NuMaker-IoT-M487 has integrated commonly used components and multiple expansion interfaces, and provides Ethernet and Wi-Fi networking functions; the equipped microcontroller is the M487JIDAE based on the Cortex-M4 core and it has a maximum operating frequency of 192 MHz, as high as 512 KB Flash and 160KB SRAM. It has hardware encryption and decryption accelerator built-in to increase the efficiency of encrypted data and the network. It is suitable for terminal devices and lightweight gateways, and it can also be used for voice keyword recognition and image recognition applications.
The AliOS Things development kit for NuMaker-IoT-M487 can be downloaded from the GitHub webpage of AliOS Things. Other files such as quick connection examples to connect to Alibaba Cloud services are also provided to lower the threshold to get started with development. More examples are continually released on the official website of Nuvoton.
