Questions about NuBrick

Good Morning Mr Prima.

We need help on using Nu Brick. End of 2016 we bought 6 pcs NuBricks. We buy because it is interested in IOT features and openness of architecture.

Since the arrival of the kit in Jogja, we have been using the kit via smartphone. When we wanted to reprogram the kit as needed, we encountered some difficulties. Details attached. We ask for help as soon as possible because we've tried various ways and follow the instructions on the web nuvoton but still fail.

That is our question. Awaiting for replies from Nuvoton ASAP. We thank you for your kind attention.

Programming using Keil

We have downloaded all necessary files and drivers. We tried to recompile the main.c file (as directed on the web and our assumptions) are the main files of the NuBrick board. Every time we compile, there is always a failure with the caption: The code size of this image (56220 bytes) exceeds the maximum allowed for this version of the linker. We've tried to modify Keil and look for other information but the results are always the same.
Please help with information how we can program the board according to our own needs? What has yet downloaded so that the compilation process always fails? Are there any other free editors / programmers we can use?

An example of a failed compilation result is shown in Figure 1.

Programming with Arduino IDE

According to the instructions in the manual, Nu Brick can be programmed using Arduino IDE. We are having trouble choosing the appropriate "board" type. We have downloaded all the drivers available online, but no board has yet matching Nu Brick.
Is there a special driver that can be sent to us so we can program Nu Brick using Arduino IDE as mentioned in manuals?

Dear Pak Nandra,

Good morning and thank you for the question.

1. Your Keil code size exceeds 32KB. Keil free license max is 32KB.
2. We recommend to choose Arduino board option using Arduino Genuino Mega or Mega 2560.

thanks.

Regards,
Chris

Mr. Prima,

Thank you for the answer.

For the arduino, we try to upload files on two different Laptops (one windows and one mac) still fail to continue with the same error message.

What's lack from us?

Is the setting follow Nuvoton instructions as following ?
Is it already using Arduino version 1.6.8?

Mr. Prima,

I try to program again using mac, setting I have adjusted, but result still like in attachment (timeout communicating with programmer)

Additional notes, when my board connects to a laptop (mac), the laptop also detects the board as "memory" externally.

Please help again.

Hi Pak Nandra,

I saw you use Arduino not version 1.6.8, that is Arduino 1.6.12,
Please use Arduino 1.6.8

Thanks,
Prima

Hi Pak Nandra,

What's the status now?

Make sure the PC recognizes this device.

We recommend using Nuvoton platform to develop, if you do not use Arduino before.
You can extend new devices with Extension Module without using Arduino.

Please click on the following link for more information

DG_NuMaker_Brick_M451_Series_EN_Rev1.01

Please follow the following for more information.

http://www.nuvoton.com/hq/support/tool- ... _locale=en

Please do not use Arduino, as the first option.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
thanks.
