The NuMaker Platform is an Internet of Things (IoT) application focused platform specially developed by Nuvoton. It supports ARM mbed OS 5 as well as Arduino interface, and is ideal for arrays of IoT application development for prototype development designs with sensors and wireless modules. There are currently two models available, the NuMaker-PFM-NUC472 and NuMaker-PFM-M453 platform.

The NuMaker-PFM-M453 platform is equipped with security, communication, and device management modules and supports low-power Bluetooth, Thread, Wi-Fi, 802.15.4/6LoWPAN, TLS/DTLS, CoAP, HTTP, MQTT and lightweight M2M. Embedded with 32 KB SRAM and 256 KB Flash, it is ideal for IoT equipment operation. You may employ NuMaker-PFM-M453 as a collection point or sensor node to securely connect to mbed cloud service for equipment connection and management. This allows tiny amounts of data to be collected locally to cloud through the mbed server software for valuable information generation with big data analysis technique.

NuMaker-PFM-M453 is embedded with the Cortex®-M4F core. The main board uses general purpose interface and is Arduino UNO compatible. Users may develop their own application by working with any Arduino modules. In addition to the expansion interface, the main board embeds scores of peripherals including a buzzer, RGB LED, keypad, microphone, headset input/output, USB OTG, triaxial accelerometer, and gyro sensor group.

The NuMaker-PFM-NUC472 platform is designed to tackle even more complex computing requirements and cloud network protocol. Further to features of NuMaker-PFM-M453, it is added with 1MB SRAM and embedded Ethernet networking port for complex cloud network protocol support. The user-friendly input interface provided by Nuvoton enables fast verification, learning, and application development by developers for easy IoT application creation.
